I have been known to buy one edition of a book over another because of its cover. Like I currently have the hardcover US version of Faery Rebels and intend to buy the UK versions of the rest of the series. I also gave my original copy of Tithe to my sister because I preferred the new cover.

I've never actually looked at different covers when buying a book online before, but I've actually only ever boughten a few online. I mostly buy them at local Chapters, Indigo or Coles bookstores :)

I adore posts like this, as I love seeing the difference in cover artwork.

Visually I prefer the UK cover, and having read this book I think it's a little more representative of the story inside. I didn't see the Ash character as one that would just curl up and hide. Whilst the US one is pretty, there's just something about it that doesn't grab me.
Hex Hall
I'm torn! I like both, but I think the UK cover looks a little 'younger'... And I think overall I prefer the US one.
Knife
Easily the UK paperback!
Lament
Again, easily the UK version. I love the red and inky splatters around the edge.
If I Stay
Difficult one, as I don't really care for either. If I was pushed to choose, I'd go with the paperback version.
Once A Witch
The hardcover version - Isn't that font beautiful! But there is something ghostly and sad about the paperback cover art that makes me want to pick it up.
Claire De Lune
The paperback version I think is more striking. I love the simplicity of it, and the white cover stands.

This is a great idea! There are times when I want the UK edition. Take example, the Twilight series just got revamped for the UK limited editions...they are all WHITE and the title is only on the spine. So Jealous!!
I've heard great things about Hex Hall so that is what I'd want to win. The US edition. I LOVE If I Stay, but have already read it so I didn't choose that one.

I'm definitely a cover junkie! One recent example was that I won the UK version of Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready when it came out but recently I went out an bought the U.S. Hardcover because I liked the cover so much better (and it's hardcover which I always find is nicer).

I do buy a certain copy of a book because I like the cover better than another edition. I especially love when they re-issue a book after it has gone out of print and then a few years later it comes out with a more modern and better looking cover.
The latest cover I have developed a crush on is the new elegant cover design for Pride and Prejudice by the illustrator Rueben Toledo. I have other editions of Pride and Prejudice but this one is too beautiful to resist.
I would love to win the US hardcover edition of Hex Hall. I love the split cover design and the magical touch the reflection adds to the cover. I have heard great things about this book and would love to read it.
