Waiting on Wednesday: Delirium

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -the deliria- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

"my heart is drumming in my chest so hard it aches, but it's the good kind of ache, like the feeling you get on the first real day of Autumn, when the air is crisp and the leaves are all flaring at the edges and the wind smells just vaguely of smoke - like the end and the beginning of something all at once." — Lauren Oliver ~Delirium
My Thoughts: I can't wait for Delirium. This book has such a unique idea. It is something that we have never read before which is the way Lauren writes her books. With such a different perspective into the world of love, Delirium is at the top of my TBR list.
